Accolades:

I can only say that the concert was a tremendous success, artistically as well as financially. I have heard nothing but accolade and accolade from members of the audience, and also from the master class students. I also hear from Henrik Holm, that the concert in Viborg was a great success.

I am grateful to you and Ana for yesterday's performance. It was a hug success in every way. The house was packed with Ana's admirers, who were enthusastic and enthralled. Ana's performance was very beautiful. I loved her choice of repertoire, which really highlighted her amazing musicianship. She is a first-rate artist, as you know. I loved every phrase. Her stage presence was superb and her chat with the audience was wonderful.

As expected, the event was a great success. Nothing you haven't heard before such as outstanding musicality, virtuosity and a connection with the audience. One comment I received illustrates the audience connection: "I am always happy when the concert is a success, like this one was! It was clear only if one had to look at the amount of people who waited to speak with Ana, especially considering how long they had to wait in line after quite a long concert."

I can say with confidence that Ana's concert was one of the best I had attended. The pieces she had chosen for the program would delight a person who has never attended a classical guitar concert before as well as guitar aficionados and professional guitarists. She was so gracious to meet with the audience after the concert. The long line of people who wanted to greet Ana was a testament not just to her mastery but also to her ability to reach the audience on a very deep human level. The same response I had observed during the visit to the Latino Arts Guitar program when about 100 kids were able to meet Ana up close, ask her questions, and play for her. It was great to see kids ages 8-15 with the sparkle in their eyes asking questions. I am sure they will remember meeting with Ana for the years to come.

We are all very impressed of the playing and teaching that Ana Vidovic presented here in Hamburg. The concerts were really amazing and were the moment in the festival when we knew that all the work of the past weeks had been worth it! We very much hope that Ana felt comfortable with us and that we can see her again soon in Hamburg.

As you know, Ana, is an amazing musician and everyone loved her! She was the perfect artist for Matinee Musicale’s first in-person concert in 2 yrs. There was another couple who drove from southwest MN, 6 hrs, to the concert! It was great to meet Ana. She’s a lovely person.

We are delighted with how well Ana's concert went. Ana played beautifully, as always, and her warm personality won over the audience.

Marietta is a small town with a population of 15,000. The nearest city of any size is Columbus, Ohio, which is over 100 miles away, yet we had about 200 people at the concert. The audience was a mixture of those familiar with Ana and those who were hearing a classical guitarist for the first time. I am aware of people who attended from all over Ohio and West Virginia, as well as from Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Tennessee. I am also aware of one couple who planned to attend from Georgia, but had to cancel due to a family issue. In other words, Ana's concert drew lovers of classical guitar from 100's of miles away. There were even four gentlemen from South Korea who were in the area on business. When they learned that Ana was performing in Marietta, they immediately bought tickets and were delighted to finally see her in person. After the concert several people came up to me and thanked me for facilitating Ana's coming to Marietta. Some of the comments were: "A once in a lifetime experience", "Life changing", "The best thing that has happened to my wife and me this year", "I was blown away", One email read: "She was wonderful! I closed my eyes and watched the images she painted move about in my head. Wow!"

One of the board members of our local theater, which maintains a rather full schedule of performers, such as Clint Black and Wynonna Judd, was amazed at the distance people travelled to hear Ana. He said the theater doesn't draw from those distances. It was wonderful to spend time with Ana and to share her artistry with others.

My name is Sam/Samuel Black, I live in Duluth, MN, and I am part of the Matinee Musicale organization that hosted Ana in recital last night, 22 March, 2022. I was responsible for creating the program notes for the evening concert. The event was incredibly warm and intimate, as Ana sat on her piano bench, and played to about 300 or so people from the very best hot spot on the stage. Her choice of program was diverse and flawless, as we have come to expect from her preparation. I was really happy she kept La Catedral in the program, and after the completed program, the applause merited one encore, and a gentleman verbally tossed out Un dia de Noviembre. She responded with warmth, and shared this lovely piece as her final playing. It had been part of the original program, then cut, then appeared as an encore. Stupendous music. Sitting very close and watching all ten of Ana's fingers is such a delight. I am a fairly accomplished chamber pianist, with lots of finger activity myself, so watching her move left and right hands on the guitar was beautiful. Her focus on each piece, and her radically different approach to the mood and modality of the variety on the program, made for an exceptional evening of intimate guitar music with a good room and a warm audience. I will continue to listen to her playing in the coming months, for sure.

I wanted to know the maker of the guitar she used last night, since I've seen several makers on her recordings. And I want to share my happiness of watching her live, after two weeks of watching her on-line for a few hours every day, as I prepared my program notes. Finally having this live concert in Duluth was worth the waiting. Thanks for making this email a possible sharing spot. Ana was intimately in communication with the audience from the first moment her fingers plucked the Bach.

I said it to Ana last night myself; she transported me with that performance. I thought it was one of the most memorable performances I've heard. It was an absolutely fantastic concert!! Ana is a totally consummate performer, and I enjoyed every second of it! I have attended many classic guitar concerts in my lifetime, and none of them have eclipsed this event. The particular thing is that most of the pieces she played are well known in the guitar world, but she made those same old pieces to be seen in a different light, with beautiful, robust sound. A lovely evening. Phenomenal performance by Ana, without question.

Just writing to let you know we very much enjoyed your concert last night. It was more than worth the three-hour drive from Minneapolis in crappy weather. I knew you were a great musician and gorgeous. Didn’t not know till last night that you are also very humble and a nice person. I hope you will come back to Minnesota soon and play in the Twin Cities. Lots of great venues down here.”

Ana's performance was amazing! We received nothing but positive feedback from our patrons and it seemed that everyone was over the moon! We were thrilled to have her back with us and we look forward to having her back in the future. Thank you so much for all of your work with us over the pandemic and I'm glad that we could finally make it work in-person.
